We are proud to announce that FormaServe has signed the Armed Forces Covenant

As part of our commitment, we pledge to uphold the principles of fairness & support for our armed forces community.

FormaServe solidified its commitment to the armed forces community after our Managing Director, Andy Youens, signed the Armed Forces Covenant at their offices in Milton Keynes.

By signing the pledge, FormaServe joins more than 10,000 organisations across a range of sectors including education, manufacturing, the charity sector, hospitality, retail & financial services that have committed themselves to providing fair treatment for veterans, serving personnel, reservists & their families.

It is a privilege to have veterans as part of our workforce & we will continue to strive to support them as best as possible.

The Armed Forces Covenant recognises the contributions of serving personnel (both regular & reservist), veterans, & military families to our communities & country.

The first duty of government is the defence of the realm. Our armed forces fulfil that responsibility on behalf of the government, sacrificing some civilian freedoms, facing danger & sometimes, suffering serious injury or death as a result of their duty.

Families also play a vital role in supporting the operational effectiveness of our armed forces.

In return, the whole nation has a moral obligation to the members of the Royal Navy, the Army & the Royal Air Force, together with their families.

They deserve our respect, support, & fair treatment. Those who serve in the armed forces, whether regular or reserve, those who have served in the past, or their families, should face no disadvantage compared to other citizens in the provision of public & commercial services.

Special consideration is appropriate in some cases, especially for those injured & bereaved. This obligation involves the whole of society, & includes voluntary & charitable bodies, private organisations, & the actions of individuals in supporting the armed forces. Recognising those who have performed military duty unites the country & demonstrates the value of their contribution & has no greater expression than in upholding this covenant.
